I share parts of my creative process on my YouTube channel From My Blue Desk, where I invite others to explore art journaling, mixed media techniques, and the joy of slow, playful creativity.

Alongside my art practice, I also design and create handmade scrapbooks, journals, and memory-keeping pieces through Toshi and Bob (via Etsy) and I am building a library of classes and printable sentiments and ephemera on my website for people who are interested in memory keeping. These handcrafted books are designed to hold stories, photographs, and meaningful moments, continuing my interest in memory, storytelling, and the emotional significance of objects we keep.

As busy women, many of us can lose sight of our own needs sometimes. Life changes and other factors can bring in unique stressors. Sometimes our age, whilst it can bring positive experience and wisdom, can also wreak havoc with hormonal fluctuations leading to feelings of anxiety and overwhelm.
Having some time to yourself for creativity can be such a wonderful healing experience. Activities like slow stitching, painting, doodling and art journaling can help you to make sense of intrusive thoughts, deal with overwhelming internal chatter, and give you time and space to plan improvements into your life too. Putting time aside for creativity, whether that's journaling, making something for yourself or even making a gift is so much more than time spent, it is time invested in you.

I'm currently preparing a number of creative classes based on painting, mixed media art, journaling and stitching, all processes that I have personally found fulfilling and therapeutic. So if you are interested in setting aside a little time for yourself and adding a bit more creativity into your life to give yourself a much needed creative boost, click below to subscribe. I will send you creative goodies for free and keep you up to date on creative activities as and when they are arranged in the future. I usually email on Saturdays!
